Use some headphones for better audio quality. It was pretty surprising that there were no volume controls on the remote. All in all, the Axion AXN-8701 is a wonderful little portable TV. It is very easy to use and produces great video images. If you are looking for a well-priced and reliable portable TV, this is your best bet.
